Poem of the Week [10.8]

When God speaks you have to listen, when He moves you have to surrender and accept whatever comes your way. This poem is about just that.
Take to the River
There is a river that runs deep
it winds its way through foreign lands
through plains that flood and mountains steep
confined yet steady its advance
We have been called to swim its waters
and let our strong resistance go
we must, we shall, though courage falters
we jump and soon pick up the flow
we’ve got to take all that is granted
reluctantly, even the pain
uprooting all that has been planted
the water washes every stain
broad stream of all that has to be
before my eyes the ocean see
